The following images are samples of print work made while I was working at St. John's Hosptial in Springfield, Illinois.
"Kindess in the Heart" was a poster series to share with patients, families and employees the ideas of good customer service. I was challenged to not use plain colors for backgrounds. The hospital had a number of fabric swatches for different design projects and I was able to use a few of them for backgrounds. Adding an extra level of challenge when it comes to color and text on top. It was a project I really enjoyed as I was also tasked to get the pictures of each person to be featured on the posters.
The above poster was designed for residents to share cases at different conferences in many areas. The first one was for a national conference and won first place.
The sizes of these posters vary from 18x23 inches to 6 ft x 3 ft. Going from designing newspapers to posters of that size was quite the challenge but something you just get used to. It is a challenge I would like to get back to.
